Description
Rasterbike is a clone of the game Matrix-Blaster
from the movie Tron.
Teams of Light-Cycles which leave energy walls behind them try to
crash each other into those walls to gain points. The game supports
networking and is designed to be portable.
Rasterbike includes:
-
a server which handles every operation a player can do, so before you
play a game, you have to start the server. (Currently there is only a
UNIX console program)
-
a ncurses-based console client. At the moment it does support the
basic features only, at least those features are all the server
currently supports :-)
-
a gtk-based client. It has the same functionality as the ncurses client
but of course some graphical improvements, too. (please take a look at
some Screenshots)
-
a simple bot program which gives the ability to play against a
non-human controlled player.
-
a sort of a library to help developers who want to write other clients.
Rasterbike is completely written in the C
programming language and released under the GNU GPL v2.
